Ohana means family - and this thought came to us when we were able to experience how connected the people on Maui are to their nature during a visit to the Wildlife Fund Hawaii.
Especially close to our hearts is the Hawaiian Sea Green Turtle. Marco Wagner, a well-known German artist, helped us to realize our idea of creating our own little honu (turtle) for Nani Makani.
Embedded in dark green relief grasses, the turtle now swims happily towards the bright sunshine. In the process, its shell is adorned with the artist's signature minuscule ornaments.
